how to decorate your bathroom

Many people like to have a theme in their bathroom. If you can have a theme to decorate your bathroom, decorate your bathroom in a theme that fits your personality.

Use your imagination when you decorate your bathroom with a theme.

Pick a theme to decorate your bathroom.

Adding a bathroom theme as a decorating project is easy and fun. To decorate your bathroom, there are many to chose from. Of course, you may already have a theme in mind to decorate your bathroom. That is okay too. If not, think of the theme you are looking for by exploring the ideas in your head.

You might want a classic theme such as Victorian or modern contemporary. What about an artistic expression to decorate your bathroom? Do you have art in your blood? Zebra or animal prints are in. Is this for an adult or a child? Many child themes are easy to apply to decorate your bathroom.

Consider a background colour.

Consider how long you are going to have this theme. If you plan to keep this theme for a long time, you might want a neutral wall or soft shades of cream, blue, green or yellow to decorate your bathroom. On the other hand, it will be so much easier to change a room with light colours in the future if your theme fades fast.

Bathrooms are designed to be functional, leaving open walls and bare spaces. So use your creative side with a splash of colour or design and accessories!

Redecorating is an excellent investment to improve home value. However, redecorating needs to be done the right way with good taste. Chose washable paints and wallpaper that can withstand higher temperatures and humidity to decorate your bathroom.

Do you need to replace any fixtures or put a backsplash on the sink area? You will want to replace these or add new ones to ensure longevity. Test artwork, wall hangings and colour on that area before you decide to decorate your bathroom, as the lighting affects colour. Remember, dark shades will show spots and marks on the wall.

Interiors of the Modern Bathroom

Accessorise to decorate your bathroom.

Do not over accessorise. Remember, less is more. Remember to let any busy design be the focal point. Don’t apply too much of the same pattern, or you’ll tire of it more quickly if it is overwhelming.

Any solid colour makes a relaxing theme. You may want towels to compliment the colour. So use colours you like. Some designers want white towels, but it depends on what you prefer.

The range of colours creates a theme with not very much designing skills. If you are like me and like zebra prints, or other animal prints, choosing a shower curtain with an animal print of your choice and let that be the focal point of the room to decorate your bathroom.

The zebra shower curtain and plants give the feel of a Safari. Zebra themes will make a room pop!

Add lighting to decorate your bathroom.

You can make a print more elegant by adding a small chandelier on both sides of the sink. There are many small lights that you can find at a reasonable cost to decorate your bathroom. Or what about small pendant light? If you need to replace your lighting, this would add to the overall luxury feel of the room.

Adding the colours throughout the space is good, but use a sprinkle. You don’t want to overdo it. It’s a must to add extra lighting to apply to make up to decorate your bathroom.

Speaking of lighting, a stained glass window or an etched over window adds lighting and privacy. If you are an outdoor person, you might want to try a waterfall mural on one side of the room to decorate your bathroom. Running water can be so peaceful. That would seem like a quiet retreat.

Another peaceful theme would be a private beach theme, complete with your sign saying, “Private Beach.” Seashells would be a good touch. Water themes are endless to decorate your bathroom; you can do a lot with that. Wallpaper borders can be added to a bathroom. You don’t want to be too busy with wallpaper with a plain wall, or it might seem out of place.

Try a throw rug to decorate your bathroom.

The best rugs for bathrooms are cushion-type rugs that you step on after getting out of the tub, which feel fantastic under your toes. It’s absorbent and soft. Others add character to any themed area to decorate your bathroom.

Add texture to a bathroom design.

Plants are an excellent way to add texture to decorating your bathroom. First, make sure you have some natural lighting, or they probably will not survive or be more work than you want. Pick plants that take low light and like humidity.

In General

Any decoration can be expressed in a theme to decorate your bathroom–hobbies, cabins, sports. The list goes on. There are so many things that can be incorporated into a bathroom theme.

Rubber ducks are becoming quite popular these days, and we can find them in many stores online. A light yellow shower curtain with orange and yellow towels can add to the mix.

Be ready to keep a bathroom theme for several years. Even though it is the smallest room, everyone needs to enjoy the design; it will last longer. So dream and use your imagination!
